Kunthee devi talks to Karna!

Vidurudu went to Kunthee devi and told her o f the latest developments and personal talk of krishna with Karna.he was saddened by Karnas decision.Kuntheedevi told him that Karna was angry with Bheema and Arkuna.she would go and tell karna about his actual birth to her and try to make accept him accept her as his mother.she would try to develop brotherly affection regarding Pandvas in karna.

She was waiting for the right oppurtunity to meet him and convey her mind to him.

One day,when Karna went to river Bhaageeradhifor bath,she followed him.seeing her,Karna  saluted and told his lineage along with gothram.then she told him that he was not  a soothaputhra.he was her son.acconding to right you are the son of Panduraju.you are the eldest of all kouravas and pandavas.so,you are the king.

At that time,a voice came from sky and told him that what she told was correct and advised him to act accordingly.Karna then told that he too knew that what they told was correct and the plan of action they advised was reasonable.but he too wanted to say something.

He told like this.being of royal blood,you would not think mean .every one knows about Arjunas valour.it is also famous that we are rivals.I cant change my mind at this juncture. You cant make me change my mind.just because you came and requested ,I would offer one favor to you. During war, if other  pandavas become weak,I would not kill them.

But I am having so much anger against Arjuna. So,definitely I am going to kill him.or he is Going to kill me in this war.both are OK to me.you would be having five sons with or without Arjuna/Karna.Kunthi was saddened,but left with a relief that other four of her sons would be saved.

Krishna talks to karna in private

Sree krishna turned to others and told them.you all pretty well know what has happened. Dhrutharashtra is pleading that he is inefficient to correct the issue.  He is saying that he is not wrong doer.so there is no necessity for me to stay here longer . So permit to return back.

Hewent to Kunthis house.he told her of the recent developments.he asked her what he should tell her sons.she told that her sons should behave in appropriate manner fit to be to the sons of a warrior.she felt that it was a futile guesture to try to preach duryodhana and his brothers.she blessed Krishna.

Sree krishna told others to return back.he called Karna and asked him to accompany on his chariot.they went to a lonely place.

There Krishna told Karna these words.Karna!you know what is right and what is wrong.you have respect for elders.you are the eldest son of Pandu raju.if I tell Pandavas,they would respect you as their elder brother.they would make you the king.if you act like this, even your mother ,Kunthee devi would also be happy.

Karna replied in cool and calm tones.I know about my birth in pieces from here and there.I was brought up in low caste.unmindful of it,Duryodhana treats me as an equal.he respects me.he is my friend. Would it be right on my part to leave him at this crucial juncture?please,keep my secret. Dont reveal it to any body.

Krishna cautioned him that karna would be at a loss ,if he would not hear his words.he. Further told like this. It is your wilful decision. In few.  Days,amaavasya is coming.war would start on that day.you tell youyrfriends.

Karna replied that he knew that Pandavas would definitely win the war. That was why he was not interested to cross over to them.ifwewin the war,I would see you later. Otherwise,I would see you in heaven .saying so ,he left the chariot and went to hasthinaapura. krishna went to pandavas.

Dhrutharaashtra pleads innocense

Dhrutharashtra could understand that Krishna was not an ordinary soul.he knew that he was showing hisviswaroopam.he started rquesting and and pray him.O. Krishna!pleaseenable me to see at least your feet.Krishnathen considered his request and gavehim celestial sight with the help of which he could see Krishnas viswaroopam.Dhrutharashtra had no bounds of happiness. He was awe struck by its magnanimity.

He praised Krishna like this.my life has now become fruitful.I am satisfied.I dont want to see mere mortals and their foolishness and cruelty with these eyes. Please take away my sight.

Every one in the assembly expressed their astonishment with the beauty of Dhrutharahstras eyes. They were so big,wide and beautiful.sree Krishna accepted his request and withdrew his eyesight.he too came back to his normal stature.

Narada and other sages who came to see these developments also left happily.Krishna came out of the assembly hall alongwith Sathyaki and kruthavarma.Gaandhaari went to her palace.every one followed SREE Krishna.his chariot was also ready.K rishna requested all of them to halt there itself.

Dhrutharashtra came forward and had few words with K rishna.krishna!you have seen with your own eyes ,what is happening here.you were witness to what happened to me in the hands of my son when I tried to influence him to go for truce and peace and stop war.you and others now know how I was humiliated by him.I am happy that you know that I am not part of this heinous plot against you or pandavas.I am innocent.It is enough for me if you understand the truth.

Sree Krishna shows his Viswaroopam!

Then Krishna revealed his mind.Kouravas behaviour in this is welcome to me.o king!give me permission to straighten every thing.Dhrutharashtra was aghast with these developments.hes ent Vidura to bring Duryodhana and his followers.Dhrutharashtra chided his son in the dull assembly like this.you dont know your real calbre. That is why you have planned to harm Krishna.lousya nd cruel people have joined you in these vicious acts.if you continue to behave like this,you aresure to face trouble and reap destruction.Vidura also tried to teach him hopd manners.

Sree krishna then told Duryodhana  in this manner. Do you think I am a single person .is thatw hy you are trying to capture me.then see my real self. Saying so he showed his viswaroopam.

Brahmaw as on his forehead.Siva was on his chest.face was burning live.on both sides of his face,Indra,yama,varuna,kubera,AAdithya,and other dieties were present.on his left shoulder,arjuna appeared. On his right shoulder,Balarama appeared.Dharmaraju,Bheema,nakula,Sahadeva,yaadava dynasty warriors like Bhoja,Andhaka...appeared on his thighs.sankhamu,chakramu,gada,saarjamu and other arms appeared on his various hands.fire was coming out of his ears,nostrils,and eyes.sunrays werefiltering  from each one of hair follicles on his body.peoplew ere afraid to look at that light and heat.

Sree Krishna gave celestial eyesight to Naradaa nd other sages,Bheeshma,DRona,Vidura,and sanjaya.they were overwaed to look at him.every one praised him and his greatness.sree Krishna gave that special sight to Dhrutharashtra tos ee him in full Viswaroopam.

Dhrutharashtra accepts his failure to control his son

Dhrutharashtra was afraid after hearing Krishnas words and seeing his anger.he called for Gandhaari.she came.he told her like this.your son has become a bad guy  and irrational.at least,as a mother,you tell him to be sobera nd calm and right.you convince to tread the path of righteousness.if we hear krishnas words,our dunasty would survive. Otherwise,we are all going to perish.

Gandhaari replied him like this.you know pretty well yhat your son has no respect for the elders.he is not docile.he is arrogant.then,why are in his control. You are the king. Who is going to question you if you give the rightful share of the kingdom  to pandavas?

They sent Vidura to bring DUryodhana back,Duryodhana returned back in a black mood.his mother tried to tell him in so ,any ways but he did not obey her wishes.he did not even lend an ear to her pleadings.he lefta gain with careless ness.

He went to Karna and others ands tarted to plan viciously.Sree krishna is not straight forward.he is going to plan with Bheeshma ,drona and other elders and try to capturea nd harm duryodhana.he is explaining how krishna killed his maternal uncle,kamsa.so before they put their plans into actions, these have to capture Krishna.this would be the most appropriate move.then,pandavas would lose their confidence.thentheu can easily defeat pandavas.

So theyw anted to beat Krishna up and lock him and put in jail.Duryodhana and his men were moving and talking in an odd way and Saathyaki got doubt about their intentions.because theyw ere talking in hushed up tones. Few were in one group and others were in other groups.they were coming inside and going out side in small groups.

Saathyaki called Kruthavarma and told him to be ready at the gate.he went to krishna and told him of Duryodhanas plan.he told this fact to bheeshma,Drona and other elders of the assembly too.then Viduara opened up.he cautioned Dhrutharahstra like this. O KINg! Your sons are trying to capture and jail krishna.if it is going to be materialised,all of them would reach fatal end. No one can save them.

Krishnas whiplash answer to Duryodhana

Sreekrishna lost his temper by hearing duryodhanas reply.his eyes became,his breathing sharp.but ,he controlled himself and started to talk with a sminling countenance.you are in favor of war. Then,let it be.there is no delay.be ready for it.we will start the war tomoroow itself if you are so eager.be brave and couragious.

You are saying that there is no fault of yours in these developments.is there a single day left with you not hatching a crooked plan to harm Pandavas.there is no other person on this earth like you,who is so despicable and heinous.so many eldersa nd well wishers are trying to make you see reason but all of them are failing to make you see the destiny.i know you are not in for peace.but still I tried to praech you good manners and thinking and what is good for bith the parties.

Dussaasana polluted Duryodhanas mind still more. He told his elder brother like this.Bheeshma,Drona and our father are all against you. They are telling you the right thing.they are going to surrender you Sree Krishna.it is the truth.it is not  safe to be here for you.you will definitely be harmed.

duryodhana with least respect to the assembly and elders in the assembly left it abruptly with least courtesy.karna,Dussaasana and others followed him.Sakuni also left the meeting.they stood apart gossiping among themselves.

Bheeshma felt bitter observing all these developments.Duryodhana became headstrong thinking he is the mighty king.others followed suit.what ruthless things,these people are going to entertain,no one could assess.

Krishna then questioned every one present there.why is Duryodhana so pompous and headstrong?to protect the dynasty,you can kill one bad guy.it is reasonable nd justifiable.why dont you domit?all the hardships would come to end.respect for the dynasty would sustain .both Kouravas and pandavas can live together in harmony.

Duryodhanas harsh reply to Sree krishna

Duryodhana heard what every one told him. He was boiling with rage inside.  He spoke in this manner.sree krishnaa! Every one of our elders would blaming me all the time for one thing or the other. Now,you too have joined in their group and are blaming me for no faunlt of mine.

Why dont you think of justiceand what is right?Pandavas are blaming us for all the lame reasons that we humiliated Droupadi and made them suffer aranyavaasa and ajnaathavaasa.they are interested in fulfilling their vendetta against us.

If they had to undergo all those things,why should i be blamed?dharma raju lost the kingdom ,his brothers and even his wife with his uncontrollable interest in betting.he lost and Sakuni won the game of dice.Dharmaraju played on his own accord. No one cornered him or pressurised him to play.what could I do  if he acted in that manner.

We are great warriors. We never let our heads down unnecssarily without any reason.if war is inevitable,we would go for it.IF we win ,we will enjoy the  fame,name and riches. If not we would die fighting war as trueful warriors.

I was young and did not know the implications. That  was why I was calm when pandavas were given their share.but now,I am saying that I would not give them the land equal to needles tip even.that is final,.I would go for the war,come out victorious . I would enjoy ruling my kingdom happily.

Elders plead Duryodhana to be righteous and reasonable

Bheeshma told duryodhana like this.duryodhana!please hear your fathers words.It is good that sree krishna came to us.respond to his advise positively. It is always good.it would be detrimenta to you and your dynasty if you pay a deaf ear to his preachings.let not dhrutharashtra feel ashamed that he lost his children,kingdom and fame during his life time.let him not lament for these developments which would ensue if you are still adamant.

Drona also started to speak.o my son!I am like your father and grandfather.I am your teacher too.consider what krishna has told you.you can live longer if you hear his words.we will be happy if all is well with all of you.we love you even otherwise.what else can we say in full assembly?

chrutharashtra again started pleading with Duryodhana.you go along with Sree Krishna and visit Dharmaraju,once.every thnig would be smoothed out.we would be at a great loss if you dont pay heed to his advise.

Bheeshma And DRona told like this.O KING! Save the people of Hasthinaapura from Arjunas gaandeevam and sreekrishnas charioteering.go and request Dharmaraju to bless you.salute him.dynasty of kurus would reach greatest heights of glory and fame if both the brothers children are happy and united.all your relatives and well wishers wouldbe happy and contented.

Dhrutharashtra pleads

Dhrutharashtra opened up and told like this.I am not blessed creature to respect your advises and put them into action.I am inefficient. No one heeds my advise.what can I do?

Krishna ! You told me what is right and what i should do.I dont have power to execute them .my son is a fool. You are my close relation. Please,try to change him into good and worth while person.you are a great person .please,do me this favor.

sree krishna tired to convince furyodhana like this.Duryodhana! You are born in a breat dynasty. You have so many good qualities.why are you so adamant in this particular issue.it is not justified.nef riendly with pandavas.great people like Bheeshma and other elders are also of this opinion. Please respect them and their ideas.stop this war!accept truce and be happy.

You know how valiant Arjuna is. You saw his valour at the time of uththara gograhanam. At that time ,he was single.but now, I am by his side.it is not good for your future.because of your wrong step all your people are going to lose their lives.every one abuse you and scold you that you are the sole and whole cause of termination of a great dynasty.

keeping Dhrurharaashtra as your king, and you as the prince,mingle with pandavas and be happy and contented.

Like this in so many ways Krishna tried to make duryodhana see the reality and accept his words . But they did not work out.

Sree Krishna talks to Kouravas

Next day morning,kriishna started for the assembly along with Kruthavarma and saathyaki.Duryodhana came along with Sakuni,Karna and Dussaasana to see srre Krishna.they were gossipping ,nothing in particular. In the mean time,they got the message that Dhrutharaashtra was waiting for their arrival to start the assembly.they all left for the royal assembly.Vidura came to recieve them.before sitting down on his chair,sree Krishna looked up and saw the sages and  Narada there in the sky. He told of their presence to Bhesshma and said that they had to honor them,because they came to see these proceedings.allw ere excited to know that. Theys tood up with reverence and offered them water and fruits and made them sit comfortably.

Sree Krishna then got up and started to talk.Dhrutharashtra! There is nothing that you dont know.but it is my duty tell what is right and what is wrong  to you.that is why I came all the way.kouravas And Pandavas should mix and mingle like water and milk.your behaviour should be according to that.pandu Rajuadnd you are good natured brothers.your sons are also great warriors and popular fellows.why are you crossing these limits now?you are the eldest member of the family.I feel strongly that Kouravas and Pandavas should stay together with love and affection.you tell both the parties to be together.you see that peace prevails. Who ever suffer in this conflict,they are tour people only.loss is yours,who ever may win in this battle.

pandavas lost theri father early in their child hood. You looksed after their wellfare.is it right to leave them in themiddle abruptly?

Thay asked me convey their feelings like this.father, we underwent Aranyavaasa,and ajnaatha vaasa succesfully.you are our  father,mother and relation. Be kind enough to give back our due kingdom tous.god only can sort this out amicably.

Dhrutharashtra! I too feel similarly.give back their right ful share of kingdom to them.you pass on your share to your sons.tell your sons not to be greedy. Once you complete this process in an amicable atmosphere,pandavas would be your people.they would serve you.otherwise they would wage a war against you.you decide what is best for you.

Vidura cautions krishna against evil intentions of Duryodhana

sree Krishna told Duryodhana that as he had come there as ambassador of pandavas,he should eat there till the work is completed.so,I would accept your invitation only after successful completion of my duty.

Duryodhana did not stop there. He goaded Krishna to tell the truth.hes aid like this.your mission may be successful or a failure,but you are our guest.you accomplish your duty by staying with us.please tell us the reason. Why are you not accepting our invitation?

Then Krishna replied like this.we dont like you.I like pandavas . You are against them.you are intent on destroying them.they are like second life to me. If you are their foe,then naturally you are my foe too.only Vidura is righteous and good man.so,I haved ecided to dine there.talking so,krishna started to leave for Viduras abode. Bheeshma,Drona and other elders requested him stay with them and go their houses.they were eagerly awaiting his arrival to their houses.

Krishna told them only one thing. Please feel as if I had come to your housesacnd accepted your offerings with love. But for now,I am going to viduara.he pacified all of them.

Vidura attended to him with respect and reverence.after satisfactory meals,Vidura talked to Krishna like this.is it necessary for you to come on this mission?Duryodhana is vicious.would he hear your words amicably?so many kings have supported him with their armies and he is headstrong.he is under the impression that Karna would bring him victory ,single handedly.Duryodhana would not oblige you. Besides,he might even harm you. So,please do not attend the royal assembly today.

sree Krishna pacified Vidura and consoled him. He rold that Vidura tried in his way to influence kouravas in the right pathut to no avail.because he was their well wisher.Sree Krishna would also try his level best to convince him,in his own way.he would react as per their behaviour and attitude.krishna rpsected Vidura for his spiritual and phylosophical nature.

Sree krishna dines at Viduras house

Sree krishna started  for hasthinaapura.Dhrutharashtra sent Bheeshma and other elders to welcome Sree Krishna.he sent flowersa and fruits as gifts.Sree krishna accepted all those offerings and came to Dhrutharashtras Assembly.Dhrutharashtra recieved him along with his people.sree Krishna saluted elders and enquired younger people.Saathyaki was also respectably seated.krishna spent some time with all of them and left them to go toViduras house.

Vidura was awestruck to see his lord at his home. He was happy to welcome him.he enquired about pandavas well being.sree Krishna then went to Kunthee devis house.krishna accepted Viduras request to dine in his house.Kunthee devi remembered her sons and wept for their sufferings which were unending.SreeK rishna consoled her and told her that all was going to be nice from then after.

Along with Saathyaki,Krishna went to Duryodhanas palace.Duryodhana got up and welcomed Krishna.Duryodhana explained about the great feast that was ready at his house. But ,calmly,krishna told him that he was going to Viduras home for dining.

Duryodhana did not like this. He told krishna like this. It is not on your part not to accept our dinner. Pandavas and we,kouravas treat you in thescame way.you are near relation to our father,Dhrutharashtra.why are you doing like this.?it does not become of you.

Duryodhanas cruel and despicable thoughts

Duryodhana came out with his plan of action.I would not give half the kingdom to pandavas on krishnas biddilng.pandavs depend on krishna too much.I would siege him and put him in jail.then pandavas would not have anyone to lead them. Then they would become our slaves.yaadavaas and supporters of Sree Krishna also would become my people.then ,I would be the emperor of all these kingdoms.so,I would start preparations to capture sree krishna when he comes here.

Every one present there were aghast hearing these words of duryodhana .Dhrutharashtra was dumbstruck hearing these cheap and narrow minded  words of his son.

Dhrutharashtra lamented these developments. He told Duryodhana like this.you are talking in a vicious manner. Forget this idea of yours.Sree krishna is coming as an ambassador.he is a great man and righteous man.you should not harm such a great man. You should not capture him.what harm did krishna do to us?I am advising you not to be rash a nd violent.

Bheeshma addressed dhrutharahtra. Dhrutharashtra!your son is going to do suicidal act.people who think in this manner are cruel and whether they put their thoughts into. Actions or not,they are going to suffer a lot and lose the game.I will stay no more and hear this rubbish talk from your son. Saying so,he left the assembly in an angry mood.

Dhrutharashtra was afraid that duryodhanawould put his thoughts into action and he did not want that to happen.so,he chided his not to do so.every one left the assembly after these discussions.

Sree Krishna meets Narada!

On the way, Sree krishna came across Naradaadnd other sages.he saluted them and enquired why they were there.then Narada replied like yhis. krishna! Seeing you itself is a pious thing. We were eager as to you would speak in the Kourava assembly.so we came to see and hear  you.we want to know as to how Kouravas were going to react ro ypur peace talks.

sree krishna was happy for their presence. He told them to do as they wished and took leave of them and reached KUsasthala.Brahmins there came to sree Krishna and requested him to come to their homes.but Krishna gently refused their request and made preparations for his stay in the open in tents.he did not want to hurt their feelings. So ,he later went to their homes and accepted their reverent offerings.

Dhrutharahstra also came to know of sree krishnas arrival. He called Bheeshma and other elders,Vidura,Sanjaya,Duryodhana,karna and Sakuni and told them of the news of krishnas arrival. He directed them to approach krishna and welcome him heartily with proper rspect.bheeshma and others were happy to hear this news and dhrutharashtras approach.duryodhana also accepted his fathers requestacnd made all the preparations for Krishnas arrival.

Sree krishna starts for Hasthinapura

Sree krishna once again reiterated that he would sincerely strive to achieve amicable solution to this burning problem.next day,early morning ,he got ready to start the journey.he requested Saathyaki to accompany him to the city.he called his charioteer,darukudu,and told him to make the chariot ready for the journey and equip it with his sudarsana chakra and other arms.

Sree krishna aboarded the chariot and started for the city. On the way, pandavas, yaadavaas of paanchalooru,many kings came to bid farewell to him.dharmaraju came on his chariot and talked to Sree krishna like this. Krishna,my mother would be happy to learn that you have come.convey our regards to her.please see that she is no more unhappy.

Every one present there,told Sree krishna to finalise the issue and return succesfully.

Droupadis grievance

Droupadi started to talk in bitter tones.kouravas had humiliated us in many ways. But now they are sending sanjaya with sweet talk.hearing him,dharmaraju is saying that five villages are enough for the five  brothers.would duryodhana give even that land?duryodhana still does not have the fear of Defeat in his mind.his false prestige is going to increase in leaps and bounds by your trials of truce and peace.saying these words ,she turned towards sree krishna and showed her unlocked hair.she lost her cool and started weeping.my hair broke to pieces when Dussaasana dragged me into court that day.you remember my humiliation in his hands  while you talk to duryodhana and others on the subject of truce and peace.

I sincerely hope dussaasanaas hand and fingers and his body is torn to pieces. Till then I cant rest peacefully.I am boiling with vengence.what more can I say?

sree krishna could not see his sister cry like that. He made her composed and talked to her in soothing manner.do not weep.the time has come kourava ladies to weep. You can feel happy by hearing their cries.you can laugh to your hearts content.whatever anybody can say. It is destined to happen.you believe me.

Nakula and sahadeeva speak out their mind

Nakula addressed Sree KRishna like this.there is nothing wrong in my brothers speaking like this in favor of truce.it is not even waste talk.we suffered a lot during our tenure of aranyavaasa and ajnaatha vaasa.we cant even put our sufferings into words.why should we speak out cruel and vicious words now.when a great person like you go for talks as our representative, theyw ould definitely understand our value. So definitely, this mission for truce is going to succeed.

Sahadva also spoke out his intentions.krishna Duryodhana and others may instigate you and provoke you. Do not get irritated.be cool and calm.dont answer them .dont lose your temper.the wea re forced tos eek peace from them is becoming unpalatable for us.it is unbearable waiting for all of us.let them give our land or come for war.their cunningness is not going to sustain them for long.

Saathyaki spoke thus.we would be losing our dignity in trying to convince duryodhana. What sahadva told is right.warriors like battlesa nd battlefields.

Like this there were prolonged discussionsa s how should krishna talk with kouravas.each one came with one unique idea.but in the end every one supported war.

Bheema reveals his mind

Krishna told dharmaraju like this.i will try for tryce.but i know that they would not agree.people would blame them only.Duryodhana would not give your rightful share of kingdom.so get prepared for war.

Then Bheema told Krishna to really try for truce.Sree krishna laughed out hearing these words. For one moment,hewas confused as who spoke these words. Was it really bheema  who spoke these words?bheema! You are talking in a different style. It is not your real person.you are talking all kindness .who taught you to be so freaky.

Arjuna then intervened. He said that his brother represented their opinion.krishna knew what he was supposed to do and say.how can any one expect truce? You yourself got this doubt.if it gets materialised ,it is better for both the parties.if it can be managed that they give our due ful shareby truce,it is respectable act.

If you dont like this,you come out with your line of thought.we will do accordingly.we always go by your words.there is no doubt about it.

Sree krishna replied Arjuna.Arjuna!we can only make our efforts. Gods grace should also be there  if things are to move favorably.I will try my level best to bring peace and prosperity.but I dont know what gods decison is. In this matter.I have to respect dharmarajus wordsa nd try for truce.

Prospective mother ki preachings!!!

Dharmaraju seeks sree krishnas help

Dharma raju went to Sree krishnas house.he bhagavan,! Our father showed you to us as a great help before he left this world. Since then we are looking up to your guidance and advise at every step in our lives.we are like your sons,Pradyumna and others.please take care of us.we would do according to your bidding.

What do you think pf these latest developments.we rquest you to go to hasthinaapuraads our representative and see that everything is sorted out amicably.why should we be blamed of killing our kith and kin and relatives and elders.

We should not be forced to go for war ,but we should get our part of the kingdom,which is our rightful due.he Maadhavaa,! Dont show any partiality towards us.be fair to both sides.you tell them the right things and see that they accede to the right decision.why all this dialogues.whatever you feel it right,we pould abide by it. There are nosxecond thoughts about it.

Then sree krishna replied like this. dhrutharashtra and duryodhana are not fair people.but even then, they cant harm me .both ways,it is the best way to go to kouravas and have a final talk with them.

We can make them see the reality and opt for truce. Even if war is made inevitable,we would not blamed for the ensuing bloodshed.

Sree krishna also told like this. i have heard what Sanjaya told and your replies to him.you are thinking of going in the rightful path all the time.but the tragedy is that kouravas are not ready for it.they want enemity to flourish.why are you still having soft corner for them. They are not worthy of it.you forget about the blood relation ship also.

Duryodhana adamant

Hearing all this,Dhrutharashtra told his son like this.sanjaya is our well wisher.please pay heed to his words.then duryodhana replied like this.I know that Sree Krishna is very capable. He is god himself,personified.I know too that he is a close friend of arjuna. Even then I would lose my self respect and go craving for his blessings and for his soft corner. Gandhaari also tried to make her son see reason,but to no avail.she pleaded like this.O my son! You are trying to lose your life,your parents and close relatives.why are you so head strong and adamant?Bheema is going to kill all of you. He is like yama to your lives.it is as if god has directed bheema to accomplish this act of killing every one of you. Vyaasa then told dhrutharashtra that he did a good thing by sending sanjaya to pandavas,regarding this isssue.you go to Sree Krishna and beg for his help.seek his blessings and live happily here after.then every one went to their abodes..

Distinct feature of pandava army

Duryodhana was always partial towards karna.duryodhana lost his temper and said that every one present there were saying that pandavas were about to win the war ,whether intentionally or unintentionally.he had confidence in Baahlikudu,drona and other elders and finalised to go for war against pandavas.but their allegience is like this.whatever the outcome,i have dcided to go for war. Hearing these words,dhrutharashtra was in dilemma.excpet sanjaya,all others left the assembly.dhrutharahstra was optimistic that his son had good chances of winning the war,.he then asked Sanjaya to point the differences in two armies and which was the best.Sanjaya then replied like this. Send for your father,vyasa and your wife ,Gandhari.i would reply to your question before them.dhrutharahstra did like wise and vyaasa and Gaandhaari came.every one present there saluted the rishi,with reverence. Then sanjaya replied like this.O King!you asked me the differences between the two armies.pandavas have sree krishna on their side. Whom do you have on your side with such calbre.his presence is their might and right.those who seek his blessings are going to survive in this battle.

Karna gets angry

Then Dhrutharashtra interveined.he told his eldest son like this.like me,elders like Baahlikudu,Bheeshma and others are all similarly important to you as i am to you.it is your bound duty to pay heed to their adivices.i am requesting you to do so.please hand over to Dharmaraju ,their rightful share of kingdom.he advised him again and again but to no avail. He lost his temper. Dhrutharashtra started scolding his son.your line of thinking is completely wrong. It is not a correct decision.you cant extend your arm after breaking it.wher was your strength and valour when arjuna defeated you earlier?where did they keep their valour at the time of uththara gograhana and dakshina gograhana.even Karna was accompanying him at that time.dont behave in high handed manner. He turned towards Karna and told these words. Showing off of their talent in archery,droupadi swayamvaram,uththara gograhanam ...these ar all trivial fights when compared to ensuing batle.it would be completely fierce and grotesque. Are these developments good to you.all these are going to end with duryodhanas demise. Karna lost temper with these words. He directed his answers towards bheeshma and told so.i would not help you in the time of war.unless you stop active fight inwr, i would not start. Karna then left his arms and left the assembly abruptly. Bheeshma then made fun of karna that what else could Karna do than leave in the middle of a dialogue.karna never went back on his words.then bheeshma sarcastically mentioned that how could pandavas live on thise arth when there is such a powerful enemy like karna.then bheeshma directed his attack on duryodhana and told that as long as karna was his friend,he would always do according to his wishes only.so,war is inevitable.you would then see my valour and valour of Karna and decide who is the best.

Sanjaya explains pandavas strength and their plan of action

Duryodhana then turned towards sanjaya and asked him to explain Dharma rajus mind.what dharma raju was thinking about the whole issue. Sanjaya then replied that dharma raju was very eager for the war.his brothers were feeling as if they were bring invited to attend close relatives marriage celebrations.arjunas paasupathaasthramacnd bheemas gadaabalam were pandavas trump cards. Duryodhana chided sanjaya for praising pandavas.it looked as if Sanjaya was pandavas agent .then,Duryodhana directed sanjaya to explin about pandavas arms and armaments.then sanjaya told that pandavas were fully equipped with all the required And necessary arms. There was no deficiency of arms to them. Dhrutharashtra then enquired about the way,how they were planning to defeat kourava warriors. Who were going to fight with whom and in what manner. Who were supporting whom in the war field. Sanjaya the replied that sikhandi was to fight with bheeshma. King of mathsya kingdom would support sikhandi with his army.Drona would be targeted by Dhrushta dyumna.upa paandavas would be supporting Dhrushtadyumna.Bheema would defeat and kill Duryodhana and his brothers.their sons would be targets of Abhimanyu.Arjuna would plan to defeat and kill sakuni,saindhava,aswathdhaama and karna.Krutha varma would be killed by saathyaki.Dharma raju was going to kill salya in the ensuing war. In short ,this was the plan of pandavas. They told kouravas to think well and decide to go for truce or for war. Then Dhrutharaashtra sugested to Duryodhana to dividi kingdom into two equal halves and be happy.but Duryodhana lost temper with such type of suggetions and declared that he would not give them place equal to even pin point on this earth.he wanted every inch of the land on this earth.

duryodhanas headstrong reply

Duryodhana could not digest the words of sanjaya. he replied in a head strong manner.
do you mean to say that pandavas are going to win? do not under estimate our power.Bheeshma is such a great warrior that he defeated Parasurama previously.You can not estimate the power of Drona and Krupa. they have got so much talent.they plan the war in such a masterly way that even Siva can not win over them.
If you take the case of karna,it is amazing how great he is in the field of archery.he is self armoured since birth.no one can defeat him.he is such a great warrior.
besides these,we have so many kings who are going to fight on our side.they are Baahlika,somadattha,gaandhaara kings and others too.these are much more valiant than our people.we have still more and the list is very long.
pandavas can not even dare to look at our heroes.so,we have decided to wage war against pandavas.we have the cutting edge.
but you are directing us to go for peace and truce.it can never happen.karna is going to kill Arjuna mercilessly in the ensuing war because he has boons given by Indra.No one has the power to face and defeat that power of Karna.
unnecessarily,you are losing nerve and asking us to go for peace and sharing.

sanjayas explanation in kouravas assembly

sanjaya reached Hasthinapra by evening.next day assembly of kouravas was filled with great people like Bheeshma,Drona,Karna,Aswathdhaama,and other dignitaries.Sanjaya then stood up,folded his hands in respect towards elders and started to speak thus.

I had gone to Dharma raju on the request of our king.Dharma raju sent his warm regards to all the elders and relatives and lov and affection towards youngsters.I delivered the message as was instructed to me by the king.Krishna told us to start preparations for the war.Arjuna was angry that kouravas did not pay heed to Krishnas plea for truce.he also said as  they were having Sree Krishna on their side,they were sure to win the war.they would definitely kill karna and Duryodhana and get hold of the kingdom with ease.but we wish sicerely that all kouravas be gifted with long life.
Sanjaya explained the plus and minus of pandavas. he told them about the great warriors who were going to be on pndavas side.

dharmarajus reply

Sanjaya took leave of SeeKrishna and others.Sanjaya wanted to be sure that he talked to them in the most appropriate manner.he wanted Dharmarajus approval.Dharmaraju also pacified him and told him that he talked correctly.reasonable and rightful persons like Vidura and sanjaya were the right persons for such deeds .others can never handle such delicate and important issues.convey our respectful regards to elders like Bheeshma,pious brahmins,and others.convey to our father,Dhrutharashtra that we are all safe.convey the information that always we want peace and unity.
you inform duryodhana that Dharmaraju bore all the hardships with patience.he always knew that youu were the route cause of all those things.tell him to be fair enough at least now and give back their share.tell him to give Kusasdhalamu,vrukasdhalamu,vaasanthi,Vaaranaavatham to us.you ask him to give us a place at least to stand.we are always interested to be united and happy and peaceful.
Sanjaya accepted  to convey the message given by Dharmaraju to kouravas.Sanjaya was sent back to Hasthinaapuram by pandavas in a befittingly respectful manner.

sree krishnas reply

Sree Krishna then intevened. he told Sanjaya like this. I wholeheartedly hope that pandavas should be given their fair share of the kingdom. I think good should befall them. similarly I wish good for Kouravas too.Dhrutharashtra has children and grand children and he is well off.
I am happy that at least now he has sent you to pacify them,because pandavas underwent so many hardships till now.you too behaved in an appropriate manner.its all nice beginning.But hearing,Dharmarajus words I strongly feel that truce is not possible at all.because the things you have told to Dharma raju,tell them to your king Duryodhana and see how he would react to your preaches and speeches.

do you really feel that the behavior of Karna and Dussaasana were justifiable at the assembly then?if necessary,he would talk to pandavas and see tha kouravas would meet tragic end in their hands.we would encourage truce.
Sanjaya then replied that the step they wanted to imply was also a nice one.

dharmarajus reply to Sanjaya

Dharmaraju sincerely listened to what all sanjaya told him. he started to reply in calm and composed manner.Dharmaraju enquired if Sanjaya could identify enmity in his words instead of truce.if we could resolve this issue without banging each others heads, would anyone prefer enmity? would it not be foolish on our part to go for war if things were so easy to be settled?
if at all,dhrutharashtra had that fatherly affection towards us, would he really throw us out of his kingdom?is it justified on his part for his behaviour full of partiality?it looks as if saying that full meals for them and betel leaves for us?generally we go for them only after we take  full meals.all of us,including you know the behaviour and line of thought of Dhrutharashtra. it is never new.at least,you dont talk with partiality.be fair for both of us.if Dhrutha rashtra was ever fair enough ,he could have at least given us Indraprastha or some other place.we have sree Krishna to direct us the right path.he knows what is right and what is wrong.he is our master.regarding our moves, we would act according to his directions.that is it!!!

Sanjaya comes to paandavas

After. Drupadas priests intervention,sanjaya was asked by Dhrutharashtra  to go to pandavas and pacify them.Sanjaya reached Upaplaavyamu wher pandavas were staying.Dharmaraju welcomed him whole heartedly and enquired regarding what their father,dhrutharashtra told them.sanjaya started telling what he was supposed to tell them as per the directions of Dhrutharashtra.
As per Gods wish we are safe as on now.you know about everything,what is right and what is wrong.it is not right on your part to belittle yourselves by doing cheap things.you cant say for sure who would win and who would lose in a war.they are not definite.you are left with nothing at the end of it all.even if you win, what happiness one can find,after all the kith and kin are relinquished in the
war.?you are not a common man.even. Duryodhana is not a simple man. Both are great people.even LORD SIVA can do no harm. He would be left speech less before them.
Please think again. How nice it would be if both of you can find truce and live happily together again.come out of your anger,illwill and unhappiness for once.think cool!

pandavas request to salya

Salya then came to pandavas.he showed his inability to help them as he had already given word to duryodhana earlier.he told them about his boon to kouravas that he would stay on their side.
dharmaraju also concurred with him because a boon given voluntarily after being appeased of ones help should not be retrieved back at any time.but in the end ,he too asked one favor.
Sree Krishna is managing Arjunas chariot in the war.Salya is as efficient as Krishna in charioteering.So ,Salya would be asked to handle Karnas chariot most probably.  he should distract and see that karna loses his concentration while there is face to face war between Arjuna and karna.he should see that Arjuna is protected by his acts.
Salya okayed this request and blessed them that they would definitely win over Kouravas.he told them to be brave and confident because their difficulties going to come to an end soon.
Salya stayed there for some more time and went to Hasthinapuram.He told again that he would not forget his word to Dharma raju that he would see that Arjuna is benefitted during the fight with Karna.
pandavas could procure only seven akshouhinis  of army.Duryodhana could secure eleven akshouhinis of army.Hasthinapuram was not sufficient to board all those armies.
he had to place some of his armies at rouhithaka forest,Marudesam,ahichchathramu and kaalakootamu.on the banks of ganges,at vaaranaavathamu and vatasthaanamu.
thus,both the armies were ready to fight.

preparations for war on both sides

duryodhana requested  balarama to help him assemble and unite other kings. accompanied by Balarama, he went to Kruthavarma for help in the ensuing war.Kruthavarma accepted his and gave word to him that he would be on his side and he would come with one akshouhini of army.Duryodhana was happy and he returned home.
Krishna enquired Arjuna as to why selected Krishnas presence to army of well versed warriors.he asked him in what way it was beneficial to him.Arjuna then replied that he had all the strength to defeat the enemies.he just anted his moral support.more over it is very difficult to stand against Krishna and win the war. so,his presence  is essential to win the war.it would be enough if he simply maintained and managed his chariot.he would be blessed if krishna accepted his request.Krishna was also happy to heed to his friends request.Krishna and arjuna went to Dharma raju regarding further developments.

ambassodors of pandavas aproached Salya and requested for his involvement on their side.Salya was the king of madra.he was the brother of Madri,mother of Nakula and sahadeva.Salya accepted their request and started to visit Dharma raju.
in the mean time,Duryodhana came to know of these developments. he sent his men to attend to salya on his way. Salya was happy and announced that he would help them in return for their hospitality. all that time Duryodhana was behind and under cover. now he came to the fore front and introduced himself.Duryodhana then asked salya to help him in the war and be on their side.Salya could not go back on his word .so he accepted. then,he just went to pandavas to meet them.
